Course Overview
This light-heared presentation addresses the second most frequent cause of on-the-job injuries in EMS. The discussion includes a review of NJ Department of Health & Senior Services regulations, hazards associated with restraints for both provider and patient, and a review of medical maladies associated with restraints.
Audience
Any EMT, Paramedic, Police Officer or First Responder involved in response to possible Emotionally Disturbed Persons who may require restaints usage.
Length of Course
One and a half hours in length and has been described as interactive and informative.
